While I am waiting in line to pick up my children from school, my car moves forward as if I have been hit from behind. I look up and nobody is behind me, for the past month the car does this everytime I am stopped waiting for long periods while my car is running. I noticed that when the hybrid battery gets low and the generator kicks on, that the car surges forward.
Dealer says that this is normal because of the cold weather, I drove it to Miami, FL on a cruise and it did it again. It's 80 degrees in Miami so it's not the cold weather. Also my Hybrid battery gauge does not charge 100% like it used to. The charge meter goes to about 60%, the EV mode kicks in and depletes the battery to about 35% then it starts charging to 60% and again back to 35%, this has not corrected itself and now has cause my MPG to go from 35 mpg to 27 mpg because the hybrid system isn't working as it should.
Car is at the dealership now and hopefully I don't get the runaround again.
