I purchased this beautiful white CPO 2014 Q50 premium in December of 2016. About a week after I purchased the car I started noticing a strange odor. Since the car was used I decided to clean the carpet and do a complete interior scrub of the inside to eliminate the odor. Well, that didn't work, it still stinks inside. I contacted the Infiniti dealership in my area and asked if they were aware of similar problems with other models like mine, obviously they said no. If this was just a faint odor I probably wouldn't be to concerned about it, but it absolutely "STINKS". What's sad is that it's an obvious problem with this car based on other complaints I see online that have the same issue and Infiniti denies that they aren't aware of the issue. All they need to do is stop the the next 2014 Q50 Premium they see driving down the street and ask if they could sit inside and they will realize that yes, it's a problem. It is to nice of a car to have that kind of problem, should have bought the Benz!!!! Trying to trade it now for something else!

Update from Feb 7, 2018: After researching this issue on line I discovered that Infiniti issued a soft recall on the car for the odor. They said that the sunroof drain tube was the reason i had the odor. The drain tube would get clogged with debris and when it sat it the sun it would create the smell. Had the drain tube replaced and the odor went away.

Q50

I am absolutely desperate for help with my two-month old Q50 that I purchased from Germain of Easton. As an owner of a G35x that I purchased new in 2008 in Cleveland, Ohio, I had a great experience with the company, and in April, I purchased the Q50. After owning the car for a few weeks, as the weather warmed, I (and over 20 family members, colleagues and friends who rode in the car) began to notice a very strong pungent odor that quite frankly smells of body odor (or overly ripened onion). I contacted my sales rep, and the service department bombed the car. Within three days, the odor returned, and I again returned to Infiniti of Easton (Columbus, Ohio) this past Wednesday, and after Chris K., the service manager, rode in the car with me, he too noticed the odor. We believed the odor was emanating from a plastic piece at the top of the driver's side window frame.

After Germain had the car for three days, I was informed that the frame had been replaced which should have taken care of the issue. Today, Saturday, I picked up my car, and was once again over powered with the odor as the car had been sitting out in the sun the entire day. I am beyond belief and cannot possibly express my frustration that I have such an expensive car that has 3400 miles and smells so vile that I refuse to let others ride in it. Germain of Easton has no idea how to correct this serious flaw with the vehicle.

At this time, based on my experience, I am sickened by the fact that I purchased a car from Infiniti and am hopeful that someone from corporate can help me as I have nowhere else to turn.
