XJ8 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,500 miles

Car involved was a 2004 Jaguar XJ8. While traveling from St louis to tulsa on highway 44, shortly after the toll plaza and about 40 miles from tulsa, the right rear tire separated from the wheel suddenly and without any indication of prior trouble. This resulted in loss of control and flipping off the car which landed in the mud on the side of the highway. Fortunately, we had our seat belts on, and except for minor bruises, we were not injured. The car was totaled. This was a car in new condition with only 10500 miles on it. Our insurance co reimbursed us for the loss, bit did not come up with any explanation of the mishap. Jaguar and Continental tires were informed but no action taken. Here are more information which may be needed: State farm claim # [xxx] police report accident # [xxx].
