Noise in passenger compartment while sitting idle or at a stop sign as a result of a faulty muffler/exhaust system. Took the vehicle in to dealership who notified Chrysler of the problem. Their solution was a piece of barb welded to the muffler. Did not fix problem. Dealer had engineer come in to look at repair. Engineer said it was good and the noise was "acceptable" because we are only sitting idle for 3% of the time on the road. Dealer acknowledged that the noise was still there and said it was Chrysler call and that there is nothing else to do. Took car to muffler shop where they immediately identified problem with existing muffler.
