I removed inside rear panel of door , drilled out the rivets but still not easy to view problem. If I push the plastic knob with my finger I can see that the latch works from inside, but how do I remove the door handle?

I think I read that the only way to remove it was to cut it with a grinder, sounds weird to me, is this true?

or did I miss some hidden screws somewhere? waiting for suggestions ....before I cut it off.
