I just got my Sportage back from having the front brakes repaired when my brother showed me where the frame was so rusted out that he suggested I stay off the freeways for sure and that it was probably time to get rid of this car because it wasn't safe to be driving.

He had spoken to a couple of other mechanics familiar with this tradition of KIA CRAFTSMANSHIP and the options they suggested were to have a frame shipped in to replace the existing one...as I did not know the history of rotten frames that Kia is well known for in the mechanics field. The cost of the frame alone would be upwards of $1300 and that is before any labor cost of course.

His concern for my safety was such that I immediately came home to check any recalls or other history of this with the 02 Sportage, I see there is definitely other people who have had near death experiences as well as had been driving around with the safety of family and loved ones, like myself that had no idea that such instability and lurking disaster were underneath them for who knows how long,.

I had just had other repairs that I see are also prevalent but, will mention those in an additional complaint. Its Crazy I'm looking at thousands of $$$$$ to even make this car sake again and feel as if Kia should be responsible for this repair not me!!
