First Lincoln after a couple of Cadillacs. MKT has the room, power and comfort but so far way behind on reliability! Small things need design attention such as rear tail gate only opens to full height, big problem if you are in the garage no adjustment possible not well thought out! I've smashed three lights in the garage so far. It has been in the dealer three times so far for a total of 2 1/2 weeks.
Latest problem is electrical and car won't start or blanks out dash display. Not lost yet but style goes only so far
Update from Jul 13, 2014: 2013 MKT at dealers for 17 days, problem identified as faulty drive train board and grounding issues. Took car on 2200 mile trip and no problems successful repair
Update from Dec 12, 2014: Electrical problem reappeared at 28,000 miles.All dash board functions cut out while driving, after flashing multiple warnings, car will not start after shutting off. Been in dealer since October 13th trying to resolve issues. It is now December 12th and factory says to replace 2 wiring harnesses. Estimate having car complete 12-17 not a lot of confidence. Lincoln has been involved and has been very good with information and follow up but car isn't repaired.
