A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Every time i use the X-tronic, when i go above 140 km/h for about 10 minutes the gearbox always broke. Here's some issues that I've been experiencing on : 1. Can't use the X-tronic ( it's always set up only in 6th gear and can't go down) 2. Even if I use the D gear it can only runs at about 3000 rpm top 3. I can only go at 100 km/h how matter how deep I step the pedal 4. If I want to do it to drive like normal again, I have to stop and wait it about 10 minutes and it's ready to go. Or I can just drive really slow and it'll be normal.

My local Nissan Mechanics said that it was the Sensor Selenoid CVT or something like that but they are not sure cause the OBD scanner doesn't detect a single thing related to this problem.

I'd be greatfull if anyone can help me fix this problem. If you think you can solve this problem please email me at baskara_aryobimo@hotmail.com

X-Trail ST 2.5L In-Line 4

  • CVT transmission
  • 6 miles

I’m the owner of the Nissan X - trail CVT 2.5 ST in 2010 (data below), and was also a previous user of the Nissan X - trail 2.5 ST in 2005.

I need to inform about my complaints that I have already repeatedly sent since 2011 through Nissan Dealer & Service Station in Kelapa Gading (West Boulevard), Jakarta, Indonesia, since will pass the 3rd year of my complaints, but there is still no clear solution to the following problem :

• In general, if the driver actively uses Triptonic , for a longer periods of time, average high speed conditions, later there will be the sound of screeching on the gearbox (like the sound of the supercharger) and followed by a ' stagnant ' gear change (do not want to go down, stuck in gear position 5-6), although the vehicle had slowed to below 0-50 km/h . • In this condition, the vehicle can’t increase the speed on any road condition (i.e. decline, flat, uphill), the torque is lost, so that the vehicle can’t accelerate because it’s stuck at maximum +/- 80 km/h. • This symptom is based on true experience, that the vehicle must be stopped first ('resting') or engine-off for a few minutes to get back to normal (although the shrill sound sometimes could appear afterward). • The 'stagnant' condition is always (routine) occurs when the driver uses Triptonic actively, for a quite sometime, at average high speed.

Are there any drawbacks or 'defect' in the Triptonic Nissan X-trail vehicle of this type when used the above conditions???

I'm requesting for Nissan to be more pro-active to contact me and resolve this problem soon because I’ve asked that this case be forwarded to the Central Office or to Japan (if need advice). I will be continuing this escalation of this problem to the Nissan (local/global/Japan) or any other channel if not get a response and solution.

I need an explanation and solution that is clear and concrete, considering the purchase is a new vehicle, but only in a short time, I was already experiencing serious problems as mentioned.
