The contact owned a 2006 Scion Xb. While driving 25 mph, the vehicle veered to the right and left. The contact crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a mountain side. The air bags deployed. The contact sustained a fractured breast bone and ribs that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000. Updated 09/29/16

My 2008 Scion Xb lost power steering as I was driving it. Fortunately, I was able to pull the vehicle over without any creating an accident. After having the vehicle repaired, I was informed that the electronic steering control unit failed without any notice. This is a very serious safety issue that needs attention before someone gets killed!
