I traded in my 2007 Tundra with hard worked 230 000 miles. I purchased same exact model but 2014.
Double cab,5.7,SR5,TRD, I was thinking it will be same or better.
Bad on interior- 70% storage is gone, ignition key lighted ring is gone, amber LED at coffee cups is gone, dash board cannot be dimmed enough-rectangular display is too bright for night hauls, 12v system does not charge my phone while truck is at the job site switched off-I have to use all mighty engine power to charge small phone, coffee cup holder is not removable=hard to clean, skinny cup(redbull)holder is gone, touch screen and blue tooth is a joke for work truck, when screen is off at night I have no clock for time, or it is hard to play radio with screen off, doors have no storage like they used to, lights are less powerful for night drive,
Performance: my 2007 230000 miles truck can out run this one any time, acceleration is horrible, from 20-50 MPH too much engine work translates to very little power, RPM goes often close to 4000 rpm, engine works lot harder to make it go or to tow, signal lights especially rear ones are less recognizable, head lights only 2 bulbs - VS 4 bulbs, tail gate lip-hits trailer hitch because it's a 2 inch drop, truck leans very hard on windy roads, much moore than 2007 Tundra, FUEL ECONOMY IS SAME COMPARED TO MY OLD BEATEN UP TRUCK !!! 12 MPG.
My old truck when it was new was giving easily 15.5 MPG!!!
IT IS $ 40000 BETRAYAL BY TOYOTA-I WENT TO GET ANOTHER GREAT TRUCK AS I HAD BEFORE AND GOT INCREDIBLY LESS!!! THIS MAKES MY CONSTRUCTION DAY FROM POSSIBLE TO IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
