The curb weight on my 2021 Toyota Tundra Platinum 4x4 is severely understated which affects the listed GVWR on the door panel.
My vehicle curb weight as listed in the MSO and vehicle registration is 5,560lbs. - the definition of curb weight is total weight to include full fuel with standard equipment excluding passengers and cargo.
I recently weighed my vehicle at a certified CAT scale location and my scale weight was 6,340lbs (subtract 160-165 driver weight) full tank of fuel and no cargo.
The stated curb weight is a misrepresentation and as a result, the GVWR is significantly less than indicated. I want to know how Toyota calculated the 5560lbs and If they are aware of this issue?
