Jetta GLI 30 2.0L T

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Brakes continue to have issues from cold starts at speeds under 25. VW either cannot or will not acknowledge or fix the issue. Has occurred since the car was new; have had it taken in on at least 5 different occasions. These don't seem like normal brakes to me.

Jetta TDI

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,200 miles

My car was new with 2k miles on it last July. The brakes started grabbing on a trip out of town. I had to have it trucked back to Dallas from Austin. The brakes were replaced. In November the brakes started squealing and grinding mostly in the morning and at slow speeds. They were replaced again. My car is now in the shop again for brakes 7 months later. I actually noticed the problem in April/May, but was dreading dealing with Park Cities Automation. I have begun to work on the Texas Lemon Law fix for the problem. I really don't want the car back. Its value in resale is sh*t now.

Jetta GLI 30 Year 2.0t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

New VW Jetta GLI (30 Autobahn Edition); brakes squeak and squeal at low speeds from a cold start. The car was new; less than 1500 miles. The dealer uses the same line over and over; "it doesn't happen when we test in the dealer." So, they just return it. So I recorded it and THEN they said (at that moment) they had just received a "bulletin" from VW about the problem. I took it in. They fixed it. And; now, it's doing it again (same problem) and they are saying the same thing again. So, again, I showed them a video and sound and they seem to be paying attention at least (but very reluctantly). This has been in the shop for this problem at least six times.
