2018 Ford Escape with the 1.5L Ecoboost engine. Vehicle was purchased brand new from a Ford dealership in TN. We are in our late 40s (adult driven car) and the vehicle is used mainly for road trips/highway miles. EVERY scheduled maintenance was performed at a FORD dealership. Around 86000 miles, the CEL illuminated and the code P0303 was read by an auto parts store. This code is #3 engine misfire, so the spark plugs were changed and code cleared. 1.5 months later the same code appeared and the engine was running rough enough to the point it could not be driven. It was towed to the dealership and we were informed the engine had to be replaced due to coolant intrusion to the #3 cylinder.
