Forward Attention Warning deactivates cruise control when wearing sunglasses. Cannot deactivate this feature. This is NOT acceptable. I wear contact lenses for vision and driving with sunglasses is a must. there should be a fix or software update in the works for drivers to be able to deactivate this feature, or perhaps the dealer technicians should be able to deactivate it. I have been in touch with Hyundai USA and have a case number, and have also listed this complaint with the BBB. In my opinion, a sudden deactivation of the cruise control could result in a serious rear end collision if you do not have time to react.

There is a "laundry list" of items that might deactivate the cruise control listed in the owners manual, ranging from sunglasses, thick vision glasses, squinting, mascara, outside sunlight, lowering of the head, improper driving position, driver is too tall or too short, laughing, driver is winking, heavy eye makeup, eye liner false eyelashes.....this is not a complete list but you get the idea. It should be up to the driver whether or not to engage this system. Control of the vehicle goes too far with this "safety" feature
