INFOTAINMENT SCREEN CRACKS: Common and known issue - when the vehicle is exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold, the expanding and contracting of the screen causes a spider-web cracking. The crack is internal between the screen and the plastic overlay and cannot be felt from the outside. The screen itself still works, but anything shown on the display under the crack is hard to see (ours unfortunately cracked where the time is displayed). For reference, we live in Ohio, and we let our vehicle sit outside under the sun (~85k miles/6 years old). It had a small crack the size of a fingertip when we bought it at 5 years old, but it expanded to the entire right-hand side after the summer started. I read that, even though it may not be under warranty, sometimes Mazda will still replace it since it's a known issue. Will find out soon, but I haven't contacted them yet.
