CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2010 Veracruz has a very small trend of complaints about the valve gaskets leaking oil onto the alternator, which is similar to prior model years and was covered in a 2014 recall.
Other than that, there are no major problems reported for the Veracruz on our site or to the NHTSA. Seems like it's a very good, reliable vehicle.

I took my 2010 Hyundai Veracruz into the dealer to have a recall fixed 2 years ago for a replacement of the front valve gasket cover and the alternator recall 121. On Friday it happened again my alternator died and it's covered in oil. I called the dealer who did the work and the quoted me a bill of $1000.00. I believe that this was never completed correctly and should be covered under the recall.
Please help. I called the main head quarters and they want me to take it in to have it looked at, at my own cost. Really? Is there something I'm missing?
