Engine started rattling while driving on highway... doing 65 in 5th gear... started hearing the noise and shifted to 6th... the noise stopped and i shifted back to 5th...
then... BOOM!... the engine died.... lost all power...
dealer said i must have shifted down to 2nd from 5th (to explain the gapping hole in my engine).... i said i don't think so because i've been driving stick for 15 yrs without a problem... they said "sorry but you have no warranty".... that'll be $12k for a new engine please...
i've done hours of research and this problem is COMMON.... the RSX only had a 4yr warranty... worse still, Acura has REFUSED to step up even when the warranty is still in effect (in all the cases i've read about)... this is a BAD PROBLEM... maybe that explains why ACURA doesn't sell RSXs anymore!
STEP UP ACURA... this is simply not right!
