1988 Acura TL 3.2. When the AC is turned on the engine starts to idle heavily, as in RPM dropping from about 2,000 and below and it has stalled twice from trying to run the AC. Along with this, when the AC is running, it does not blow cold. Even when driving with the engine RPM raised, running the AC still lowers rpm. Anyone know anything? Thanks.

Approximate failure mileage: 257,000.
