Honda fixed some vehicles with a recall in 2004 by changing the oil cooler return line. To settle a class action lawsuit in 2006, Honda extended the transmission warranty on some of these Acura TL's to 93 months / 109,000 miles.

Now these vehicles are past the warranty limit, so buyer beware.

2000 Acura TL. Consumer writes in regards to intermittent headlight outages the consumer stated the headlights have been going out for more than a year. The consumer stated if she flipped the headlights on and off, they passenger headlight would come back on. The passenger headlight assembly was replaced. Not long after the replacement, the driver side light followed the same pattern. In December while driving, both low beams headlights failed. They did not come back on, when she tried to flip them on and off. She then discovered the high beams still worked.
