My 2014 TL AWD was making a gurgling noise 1.5 years after I got it. The Acura dealer kept telling me they could not hear it. I made 4 trips to the dealer until they finally said they heard it and replaced the transmission filter. Then I find out they had a service bulletin regarding my problem from day one?? but still made me run back and forth numerous times. fine/it got fixed.

Fast forward 4 years and the same sound is back. I'm still under factory warranty and also have plenty of extended warranty remaining on the car. When I took it in, I was told "they didn't hear anything". I am now being expected to drop everything when I hear the noise and run into the dealership in hopes that someone will hear it again? They know what the issue is per the service bulletin, they know my TL has had the issue/they fixed it once. Why are they making me jump through the same hoops again??. my guess is they are waiting me out until my warranty coverage expires so they don't have to fix it at all.

My family has owned over a dozen Honda/Acura vehicles. A quick google search countless tranny issues with them including my specific model. When I spoke to a Acura corporate customer service rep/Steven, I was told they would not help unless the dealership could replicate the noise. again...on a unit they have a specific service bulletin out on and have already seen/repaired once for the same exact issue.

It gets even better....when I realized Steven wasn't even going to look into the matter, I requested to speak with a supervisor. Steven told me NO!!! he said I didn't need to speak with a supervisor LOL. I've never been treated so so poorly by a corporate rep. I guess this is the new Acura!. having owned 3 TL's, I feel like an absolute idiot giving so much money to a company that behaves like this. No worries though, I will never buy another Honda/Acura product again and will tell anyone/everyone what a crappy company they have become.

Business must be very good for them to treat a good customer like this. Moving forward, I plan on doing everything possible to dissuade people from doing business with them. It will be my ongoing crusade to let the world know that Acura is no longer the company it once was, neither are their cars. Going to dump this TL asap before the tranny tanks and grab a Lexus. will never look back.

For any doubters out there, please google Acura transmission problems. It'll make your head spin!
