The low oil light with associated "ding" will come on and then go off immediately. It happens 40 times in a row about 2 - 3 times a week for the last few months. Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding - you get the picture. It never stays on though. I have had it checked twice. The first time the oil level was fine. The second time it was "significantly low" (about 5000 miles after an oil change). When it was low the mechanic changed the oil so I know it was ok and the light and ding started as soon as I started the car. It is not leaking or burning oil. I am going to have the low oil sensor replaced to see if that helps.
