Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

My 2003 Audi quattro 3.0 heated seat caught on fire. Fortunately no one was injured and I was able to put out the fire before it spread. A hole was burned in the seat which Audi replaced. I was lucky that I noticed the fire before I left my car in my garage or else the car and house could have caught on fire. This is a potentially dangerous problem that should be looked into. The Audi dealer told me that others have had this problem in their all road is just a matter of time before someone is severely injured from this type of defect.
