Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Possible design defect in the 2008 Audi Tt roadster.  on October 18, 2008 I was on a Suburban street and unwittingly drove over what I believe was a small rock.  the latter unalarmingly banged into the bottom of the car.  a few blocks later I pulled into my friend"S driveway, parked, and went inside.  five minutes later I came out and found that the car"S entire oil reservoir had spilled out onto the driveway. I phoned fred baker Audi service, and within an hour the car was being inspected by the mechanic team.  I want to make it clear that I have no problem with the excellent customer service provided by fred baker Porsche Audi.  here is what concerns me:  Audi mechanics explained to me that the screw that secures the pan had punctured the oil pan because it is too long and not protected.  however unusual this occurrence was, I believe that Audi should have protectors over the screws so that they are not driven into the oil pan if a rock hits the undercarriage of the car.
