One by one my control levels quit working. It runs only on high and takes forever to cool/heat. I am afraid the hi level will quit and I will have nothing.

Hot day, had a/c on, stopped turned car off. Came out and battery was dead. Jump started car and realized the a/c blower was on high and did not go off when car shut off! The source of the dead battery! had to pull fuse in order to shut car off. Then blower only worked on high and then not at all! This has been a huge hassle in NH winter! No heat and worse--no defroster!

Update from May 3, 2009: I found out--as suspected--that the cause of this failure was the leak from the casket that protects that cabin air filter. Under the glove compartment unplugged power source. Unplug sister. Resister held by 3 screws--was able to remove 1 screw and slide out from under other 2 screws. Pulled old resister out. It was burned and broken in half. Replaced with new version--much better design. Reversed procedure. Fixed by selves. Very hard position to get into. As one person said, you will need pain reliever for back pain the next day! Cost was of resister--forgot how much it was.
