The contact owns a 2007 Buick Lacrosse. While exiting a parking lot, the low beam headlights failed to illuminate. The contact indicated that the high beams had to be used due to the intermittent failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop and the technician stated that the fuse box assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and the manufacturer was notified. 2007 Buick Lacrosse. Consumer writes in regards to defective fuse box and seeks reimbursement for repairs. The consumer stated the low beam lights stopped working. He took the vehicle to his local mechanic, where he was informed he was very fortunate the vehicle did not catch on fire, because the fuse box had melted and the wires had burned. The damage was not a result of negligence, but was caused by a flaw in the fuse block.
