CTS 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,460 miles

The car is having like a hesitation problem (must be transmission slippage) there is no way a person can check the fluid, needs to go to a dealer which I don't trust one bit since the warranty has expired you know they will make it the worst possible repair that will cost a fortune.

Any one with this problem? I would like to see what owners have done.

on April 8 2016 my wife was at a busy intersection in Erie pa at a red light. when the light turned green she had no transmission or brakes. Luckily for her the emergency brake worked. wife had it tow to the dealership. Was told from the service manager that they been having a lot of cars coming in with bad transmission. and that Cadillac knew about it. I contacted Cadillac thru their web site. Did some looking on the internet about the transmission and found out there was a lot of problems with the transmission. Found complaints on NHTSA (I file two complaints with them transmission issue and the crankshaft sensor and wiring harness (repaired 3 times) I paid all three times) on a TSB sites and the Cadillac forum. Told Cadillac about everything I found and all I got was sorry we will not help you after they review my case. They said because of the warranty expired they weren't helping. So now I can't trade it in because of the transmission issues. I'm working on a complaint with the BBB about this issue and the crankshaft sensor too.
