Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

When I first bought this car it ran beautifully. It looks nice, drives nice and everything worked fantastic. Within a month little things began happening...lights on the dash board would light up (oil light) although the car had plenty of oil in it.

One day I reached in the window and unlocked the car door and set off the alarm....I didn't even know I had one! The alarm continued going off even after I started it up and drove it about a quarter of a mile however as soon as I turned the car off and opened the door it went off again. I opened the hood and pulled the fuse box open and pulled the first big purple fuse I saw and it was the correct one because it instantly shut off.

I ordered a new transmitter key ring from the dealer and took a chance on driving it to the dealer to have it programmed. It was never programmed because the part was defective. Now, the car won't stay on long enough to make it to the dealership for the new key transmitter.

I have had the car scanned by a diagnostical code reader and the codes that come up are: 303, and either 600 or 650. From my understanding, there is a short in the electrical. The car needs a new electrical computer so from my understanding, it needs a new brain. I have no idea what this costs. I have put all the money in my savings to make this purchase and to finally have a nice car. I am so frustrated and bummed that I purchased this car.... I just want to drive it!

So, this is the point I am at as of now. Thanks for letting me complain and thanks for having such a useful and great site. I won't purchase another car without reading up all about it here at this wonderful site.
