Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. The contact stated that the check air bag indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, but the results were unknown. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 118,000. Updated 10/22/14 the consumer stated the power/heated seats, door handles(3), wheel bearings, shocks and struts, brakes, headlights, traction control, and engine all have failed and were repaired. There was also rust that recurred after it was repaired. Updated 05/19/2015

The contact owns a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. She stated that when opening the door, her finger was cut by the drivers side front chrome door handle. Upon further inspection she noticed that the chrome finish on the door handle begun to degrade. The vehicle has not been taken to a dealer, nor have any repairs been made. The current and failure mileages were 19000.
