Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

  • 30,000 miles

Tires on 2009 Escalade are dry rotting and have lost pieces of the rubber on the tire. They also do not hold air. I noticed a few other notices on these tires but no recall has occurred. Tires are Bridgestone dueler H/L alenza P285. Mileage on the tires is 35099.

The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac Escalade equipped with Bridgestone dueler H/L alenza tires. The tire size was 285/45/22. While driving approximately between 55-60 mph, the driver side rear tire suddenly exploded without warning. The vehicle was driven to the side of the road. The defective tire was replaced with the spare. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they offered to replace the tire. The contact refused to have the tire replaced due to the tire manufacturer safety issue. The failure mileage was 44,500. The dot number was unknown. Updated 02/07/11 updated 02/11/11
