I bought a Cadillac so I wouldn't have these problems. So much for that.

My wife drives and I, the passenger, would like to work the Nav system while driving. But most controls are turned off while the car is moving. Cadi should use the weight sensor in the front passenger seat to see is there is a passenger and that he or she is over 85 pounds. If so, then have the option of using the nav system and all the rest of the controls while the car is moving.

THE NAVAGATION SYSTEM DOES NOT SHOW THE CURRENT SPEED LIMIT, HAVE TAKEN IN 4 TIMES FOR SUPPOSEDLY NEW UPDATES, NOW THEY DAY IT CANT BE FIXED. WE PAID HIGH DOLLAR FOR VEHICLE AND IT DOESNT WORK. I'M SURE WE PAID A LOT EXTRA FOR THIS ADDED FEATURE MOST OF TIME SAYS SPEED LIMIT UNAVAILABLE, THEN IT SHOW 65MPH WHEN THE SPEED LIMIT HAS BEEN AT LEAST 70MPH FOR YEARS

I purchased this really expensive option $2000+ navigation system that is totally useless. About half the addresses input it cannot find or it gives a route that will lead you through another state 200 miles out of the way. I called service adviser at the dealer and was told this is a major problem and that I should talk to onstar about any problems so they can download a correct map. I tried this on a recent trip to the west coast and onstar downloaded an incorrect map three times to the same destination. Upon further call back to onstar from the car they transferred me to the navigation tech dept who said they would investigate the problem and get back to me. A few hours later the navigation tech called me back and said they had a 2012 SRX on premises to which they input same destination and got the same incorrect results and that would be investigated and get back to me with the fix. Three weeks have passed and still no reply. I borrowed a $200. garmin just to see the difference and it will find any address anywhere every time. I suggest cadillac should contact garmin for some pointers as their technicians obviously don't know how to program their nav system.

Purchased $2400+ navigation system for the 2012 SRX. Navigation system doesn't get me to within 1000 feet of destination and responds with 'turn left' when 'turn right' is required. Dealer ordered new nav disc but the 'update' is worse than original installation.

Dealer contacted Cadillac rep. The rep called to say that the nav system is "as good as it gets". This Nav system is a piece of trash and I would recommend that if you purchase a Cadillac SRX - AVOID the Navigation system. Cadillac customer service is terrible. After using my tax money for a GM bailout - the compamy should be more responsive to customer complaints. No more Cadillacs in my future!
