I bought this car new in 2010. 3.6 rally sport. At about 50,000 miles I had to replace cam sensors. 30,000 miles later I was told the timing chains needed to be replaced. 100,000 mile warranty did not cover this because I had the car six years, just didn't drive it much. Paid almost $3,000 for the repair at Chevy dealer ship. Also had to replace the sensor in the passenger seat. Light came on about 6 months ago. Took it back and was told I needed to replace the catalytic convertors. 3 days ago replaced both sides and the crankshaft sensor to cover all the bases. 10 miles from the dealer ship the light came back on. They then told me I needed new timing chains again...

Apparently they did not do something right. The new ones were only warranted for one year. In 2012 a newer improved hardened timing chain came out. Not sure what they put on my car but will find out. The new ones only lasted 2 years, wtf. Something needs to be done. GM needs to make this right. A ten year old car should not need three sets. Going to be making a lot of phone calls and stir the pot. All of you who have had them replaced once already, beware, they wont last.

Sounds like a default that should have been recalled or corrected with the new set. Bought GM my whole life, time for a change. Was hoping to retire soon with no car payment, will have to trade before the Camaro is nothing more than a shiny lawn ornament, shame on you General Motors for not backing your products. With the repairs I now own a worthless $40,000 hard earned money piece of crap...
