I have a 2010 Camaro with checking engine light on and 104000 miles. I take it to the dealer for service, coolant flush, plugs and plug wires, check brakes, and determine the cause of check engine light.. Dealer calls informs me the timing belt has stretched and jump timing, still runs fine, said it will get worse as mileage goes up and eventually stop running. To fix this problem will cost me around 1500.00. It is hard for me to accept that this has happen. I have always had good luck with GM vehicles. I change the oil as required not sure why the timing belt stretched and jump time, seems odd.

This is my 2nd engine problem in less than a year, last year around May 2014, the timing chain snapped, and 3 weeks later, the timing cased cracked! Why didn't Bill Howard service manager or Dan Tross fix this issue when they took it out?? Ridiculous, they reluctantly fixed it under warranty, trying to blame me for not changing oil, that's BS. I have records of oil changes every 3 k Miles!!
