ok i have a 1971 Chevelle which shut off 2 weeks ago, i changed the cam, intake, hei distributor, lifters, and put headers on. now when i put the positive cable on!, the generate light comes on the dash panel. never used to until i turned the key half way on. after i let it warm up i went to shut the key off and pull them out, it was still running!! so i held the choke closed on the carb till it shut off. do you guys think it is the starter wire maybe? Help, i really don't want to put a kill switch on it!
everyone that has gave me an answer said the ignition switch is likely, thanks guys i tried it but it is not the switch, i put it all the way in the off position and it not sending a signal to turn off the motor.
