I had the repairs done at a garage other than the dealer - I was then told that the parts dealer said Chevrolet re-designed the front control arms due to this problem. I contacted Chevrolet and they said they had "no complaints". well, it's a serious enough defect that the tires could have come off. I have asked Chevy for some type of re-imbursment. I spent over $900 for repairs. I've yet to hear back from them.
