I was told from friends this is a reacurring problem with all hhr vehicles ,,,it should be covered at all time under the insurance,and should of been told to new owners.
We bought this car new and since we have had it we have had the problem with violent shaking in the front end while braking at any speed. We took it to the dealer several times and the reply we got was, we can't duplicate the problem, and of course we could not ride along. I have had the pads replaced every 6 months and the disks replaced 4 times and had had 2 sets turned twice and the problem still persists. Chevrolet says their is no problem existing but I think it is something in the computer settings or in the brake fluid distribution module, but Chevrolet will never admit this because it will cost them a fortune to recall all these vehicle and from my reading this gos on at least through the 2008 model. Chevrolet needs to be held accountable it's all fine and dandy as long as the consumer takes the hit for the repair bill. I have gone as far as telling my wife I will not buy another Chevrolet unless they fix the one we have. Welcome back Ford.
The pulsation problem started again @ 45K and I had the rotors surfaced one more time. Once again @ 60K, I replaced the rotors and pads this time (Non GM). Now @ 72K it's starting again. Definitely a design flaw. Heres hoping GM goes down the tubes. So much for buy American.
Terry Lee Chevrolet turned the rotors ONLY about 2 months ago, problem is BACK, need to replace rotors and Pads.....Has the 39 month, 39,000 miles CERTIFIED Car Warranty....
