The sunroof on this HHR has on each side a retaining spring that guides the sunroof into its secure position. One of springs broke and the sunroof does not stay in the guides so when you attempt to close it you cannot. I took it to the dealer and they said they could not fix the spring. They would have to replace the entire sunroof unit at a cost of $1800 and a days labor. I told them to just close the sunroof and get me the car back. This was done at Kelley Chevrolet in Ft Wayne Indiana.
I have to say that is just one piece of really poor design. Never another Chevrolet.
