After the ignition switch recall, had this problem repaired at dealership. Since then there has been a problem with trying to unlock the vehicle with the remote and with the key of which both attempts have failed miserably. Reported this problem to Chevrolet, but received little attention. Due to the type of business I have, I sometime have to go into unfamiliar areas in and out of town, neighborhoods that just don't seem too inviting/safe. There I am stranded outside of my car and cannot enter the vehicle because the doors won't unlock. The key remote will stay stuck sometimes from 30 min- two hours. Then when I try to open the doors with the Car's key, the door still wont open. It seems as though the car is "timed" to open, which really puts me in an uncomfortable, very unsafe position.
DOES IT TAKE BEING ROBBED, BODILY INJURED, or for SOMETHING AWFUL TO HAPPEN TO ME, before others can feel empathy/compassion for my situation?????? Sorry-this is frightening being left even on the church grounds when everyone else is leaving, or at night at a restaurant when the lights are not all that conducive for parking. Contacting Road Side Assistance, is not the solution for fixing my vehicle problem. Yes. of course I intend to take it to the dealer, just thought I could receive general input from others who may have encountered similar problems!!! Thanks for allowing me to vent, really helps.
