This is a big problem that GM has not yet fixed. I purchased the car in 2005 and the automatic remote key start has not worked properly. The doors will not open when the key goes bad either remotely or with the key leaving you stranded. I paid to have automatic start key replaced for a high cost of about $200 about 5 years ago and now it needs to be done again and when I called GM they basically didn't give me any help and tried to shrug me off.
I was so mad, because the car has had 3 recalls, so I have been inconvenienced by having to take it to the shop twice for recall repairs and not to mention my life and friends lives in question when in the vehicle whether it would stop steering at any moment, maybe around a curve. Now I could be left stranded in the middle of winter with being able to get access into my car.
I am fed up with this Company. Oh and lets not mention the bailout in 2009 that I am paying for.
