Monte Carlo LT 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 62,600 miles

This is by the far the worst car I've owned. Bought it with only 58350 miles on it. Was in great shape well until I drove it for a while. First off the car has more leaks than the BP oil spill for EVAP system. Now the transmission sucks. Haven't taken it in yet (thinking about not doing it now after reading the complaints from others). I go from Reverse to Drive and if I do it too quick the damn thing revs then slams into First gear. Now if you EVER hit the gas hard like near flooring it the car shifts super hard through 2nd and 3rd gear. I added Lucas Transmission Slip Fix and did nothing like I thought it would. The car only has 62600 miles on it and this is happening?! Stupid. GM this car sucks.

Monte Carlo LT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

I am having the problem of the car shifting hard into gear when I backup and then put the gear in drive and try to drive. The car revs up and slams into gear. I have taken it to my local chevy dealership and they cant find anything wrong with it. I am tired of taking it to the dealer and them not able to get it to happen. I have had error codes come up on the dash, Traction control error, braking system error. I think it is transmission related.

Monte Carlo LS 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

This was the second trip to the dealership for the same complaint and they could not find anything wrong, and would not investigate any farther unless the slippage/harsh shifting happened while in there possession.

Monte Carlo LS 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

I took my Monte Carlo to the local Chevy dealer and they could not find anything wrong and of course they could not get the transmission to shift hard for them.
