I took my 2013 Chevy Silverado to have some issues looked at. When I dropped the truck off I told them my truck had no Dents, Dings, or Scratches on it. After the work was completed they called me to come pick up my truck. When I walked out to my truck I did a walk around on it and much to my Horror above the right rear wheel house opening was a nice line of protruding UP DINGS!!!!!

I immediately went back into the service area to get the service repair technician that helped me. He came out to the truck with me and I showed him the UP DINGS. He told me that would not have happened while they had the truck. He suggested we go talk to the body shop manager. He came out in the freezing cold and blowing to explain to me that because my wheel house liners didn't cover the entire rear wheel house area little stones were getting thrown up in the area and vibrating between the panels causing the UP DINGS!!!!!!!! He told me a man came in with his 2014 Chevy Silverado and it had the same problem. He took a plug out from under the wheel house and picked out a little stone. From what I gathered from him General Motors knows about this condition. I asked him why the entire wheel house wasn't covered any longer? I told him my 2005 Chevy Silverado wheel house area was completely covered and I didn't have this problem. I also told him the quality of the 2005 truck I had was by far better than this 2013, nothing against my Union brothers and sisters, I'm a General Motors employee also. I work in quality control and I see every day how quality is compromised to get the number of cars out for Detroit. I'm told every day at work I'm way too picky but that is my job to make sure our customer keeps buying our product. Oh, the body shop manager told me he could order extra wheel house liners for both rear areas and install them for me for around $250 dollars not including the cost of getting all the UP DINGS tapped out. I hope this helps anyone else with this problem.

Next on my list is customer service for GM, and talking with Mike or Lorie Young at Young's of Owosso.
