The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired at the dealer under NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 17V414000 (Steering), 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control), and 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the failure occurred after the recall repairs were performed. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced a loss of power steering assist and then lost motive power. The trailer brake system, traction control, stabili-trak, TPMS, and brake warning lights were illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle and drove to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 197,154.

The contact stated while depressing the brake pedal while driving at slow speeds, the vacuum pump failed to operate as designed causing the brake pedal to either harden or depress to the floorboard. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that excessive effort was needed to stop the vehicle. The contact had to depress the brake pedal with both feet to stop the vehicle. The contact discovered that his vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The contact took the vehicle to be serviced under the recall; however, upon return of the vehicle, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 143,000.
