In April 2016 I bought a 16-foot enclosed trailer to move from NC to CO. Almost as soon as I connected the trailer, I got an annoying dinging message, telling me to check the trailer wiring. After several trips to different Chevy dealerships and money spent on diagnostics that said everything was fine, and after having the trailer torn down to the frame to ensure that nothing was wrong with the trailer, Hendricks Chevrolet in Durham was able to fix the problem. Unfortunately, they didn't tell me how they fixed it. Four thousand miles later, the system is back to dinging!

In its infinite wisdom, Chevy tells me to go to another dealership and have a diagnostic run. This would be the fourth, and each diagnostic tells the service techs that nothing is wrong with the truck. When they witness the dinging with the trailer attached, they replace the connector. The dinging continues, and they tell me that nothing is wrong with the truck.

Today I asked the Chevy team member who has been assigned to my case what I should do. He said without a diagnostic, nothing can be done. Because the diagnostic comes back clear, there is nothing that can be done.

Chevrolet has become the ultimate "Teflon Don;" nothing sticks to them. I will never, ever own another Chevy product.
