On top of all the other electrical issues I have had since date of purchase (it was Brand New), I now have an issue where when I turn on the Rear Defroster, it causes absolute mayhem with the vehicle. Get this, even while driving it unlocks all 4 doors as soon as it's turned on... even rear doors where kids are located. The typical message of lower and raise driver window pops up... which would be great, but as stated in other complaints the only way to lower and raise driver window is to open door 2/3 of way - which I have had to do WHILE driving.
Interior lights come on when Rear Defroster is activated (along with I guess Gremlins taking over everything). Crazy. I stopped taking it in because it's now out of warranty and while in warranty I kept getting same run around. No known issues, service bulletins, diagnostics show no issues. REALLY. Clearly there has to be a grounding issue, or computer glitch. I only now see that others have had similar issues. I have a couple safety recalls to get fixed so I will mention all these other complaints as soon as I have time to drive to the next county to get it done and sit for 2-3 hours. They will feed me same line as above.
In the last 2 weeks the driver side mirror defrost no longer works and heated seats will not heat up. As with every other issue on this truck I am certain they work just fine - it is just an electrical issue preventing them from working. Just like the theft deterrent system, driver window, rear camera, interior lights, rear defroster, door locks. ignition etc etc etc...
