CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 has an early trend of the transmission shifting hard, surging & jerking.
At the moment these trucks are still under warranty. However this transmission problem shows up right away with the average reported mileage only around 3,000 miles, so for now the 2017 Silverado earns our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.

Purchased this truck used and when I did I noticed the driver side seat had a tear where the leather meets the plastic on the side. You certainly wouldn't expect this at 25k miles. (3 months out of 36k warranty) Dealer thought he could get it covered under warranty. Nope. I'm disappointed in GM over this. It's the first thing I see when I get in the truck. We have a 16 Dodge at work with over 100k miles and the seat looks perfect. I would expect Chevy to be better because we beat the crap out of that dodge and never clean it. Really disappointed over this leather wear.
