The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving at 45 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The brake, the ABS, and the traction control warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the messages "Brake Service Failure "Trailer Brake System" "Service Trailer Brake System" and "Service ESC" were displayed on the GMC mobile app. The contact stated that he pumped the brake pedal; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that as he was approaching the traffic light, he made a left turn into a ditch to stop the vehicle. The contact was able to pull out of the ditch. The contact stated that he activated the hazard lights and drove to the residence at 5 MPH. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was made to tow the vehicle to their location the following day. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,120.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 3 MPH up the driveway, he heard an abnormal sound as if the vehicle was being struck in the rear. The contact stated that the vehicle stopped abruptly, as if he had depressed the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the engine was still running. The contact placed the vehicle in park(P), turned the vehicle off, and then restarted the vehicle, and shifted into drive(D) and was able to continue driving. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent at first but had since become a recurring failure while driving at various speeds. The contact was able to drive the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) software needed to be updated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V889000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) however, the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 154,000.

The contact stated that the first day she drove the vehicle after it was delivered to her from Hawaii, the brake pedal was depressed and made abnormal ticking sounds. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the failure recurred and the message "Check the Brake Pad" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V814000 (Seat Belts), 19V888000 (Electrical System), 20V792000 (Seat Belts) and 19V889000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control) however, there were no dealers in American Samoa to perform the recall repairs. The dealer in Hawaii was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 20 mph, the rear tires and brakes seized with a message not to exceeded 60 mph was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact shifted the vehicle into neutral and back into drive multiple times for the vehicle to resume normal operation. The vehicle was driven to palm Chevrolet (2300 sw college rd, ocala, fl 34471 (352) 433-4105) to be diagnosed however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure or retrieve a fault code. The failure recurred intermittently. While conducting a VIN search, the contact became aware of NHTSA campaign number: 19V889000 (service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes, electronic stability control) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle back to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
