The brake status indicator comes on saying "new brake pads detected". I had the truck looked at and all inside rotors and brake pads are shot. Same thing happened to a friend's truck (we bought trucks 2 days apart) - he just paid over 800 to get fixed and now I'm in the same boat. Mechanic feels it is a defect as it's the same situation in same trucks with about the same milage.
