Passenger side of dash lifting reported to kuni Chevrolet in March 2015 in March of 2015, was told they would have to schedule appointment and would be in touch they never called. Then in August 2015 I came in they provided a tag for the mirror with the miles written on it. Then I was told that it wouild not be covered under warranty and was asked to leave.since then I have returned to dealership was told it was the issue of the manufacture not G.M. then again I made an appointment they told me I was not on file and they did not sell the vehicle to me, so then I brought proof that in fact I had purchased vehicle and had previously had be in for service. They then told me in order to resolve the air bag issue they would be happy to sell me a new vehicle. { if the manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner } please contact the NHTSA safety hot line \,I believe that from March of 2015 until September 2019 is more than enough time. While driving on a two lane road at ~45 mph, I struck a deer on the front passenger side of the truck. The air bag deployed but did not come out of the center steering. Air bag dust was coming out of the back of the steering wheel, no air bag. I was very confused. The front bumper was pushed in ~2.5 inches. I am fortunate that I did not hit another car, since the airbag malfunctioned on deployment.
Takata recal I called a Chevrolet dealer to see when the airbags would be fixed. I was basically told never. " we will never have the repair parts. I drive this truck every day and wonder why my government does not make GM repair these horrible airbags. It was almost as if the service manager was laughing at me for wanting the repair, stated it is just a few pellets and probably want hurt you the driver but might the passage "who knows"! I want this repaired and want to know why 8 years later that I cannot get it repaired?

Takata recall. I have called the dealership that I bought this from new in 2011 and they basically told me that General Motors would rather lawyer-up than to have to replace airbags. I personally am pointing the finger at NHTSA and holding them accountable for any injuries or deaths as a result from a faulty airbag due to fact that they will not enforce GM to replace them. What good is NHTSA if GM can bully them and refuse to comply. As I have said, I personally am holding NHTSA accountable for and injuries or deaths associated with this recall.

I was involved in a front end collision with another vehicle while traveling at 45mph on a 4 lane road. Another vehicle did not yield and I struck the vehicle in the side while he was stationary. During impact the airbags did not deploy.
Takata recall... I was in process of getting a value on my vehicle thru kbb.com and kelly blue book had 5 recalls on my vehicle. One of them was the takata recall. No one has notified me and apparently they knew since 2016. I am concerned for my family since my wife is the one who drives the truck all the time with my 3 children. Please let me know what I need to. Thanks....
The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. While driving approximately 50 mph, an elk ran into the road and crashed into the vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe front end damage; however, the air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to power Chevrolet (1422 N. coast hwy, newport, or), but the cause of the failure was not determined. The driver sustained injuries to the torso, knees, hip, and neck, which caused headaches and nausea which required medical attention. A police report was not filed.
