Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The front end and front passenger side of the contact's vehicle was struck by another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The driver sustained whiplash and minor bruising from the seat belt retracting. A child passenger sustained whiplash, bruises to the ankles, knees, and wrists. A second child passenger sustained whiplash and minor bruising from the seat belt retracting. Medical treatment was received. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V381000 (air bags). The dealer indicated that the parts were not available. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Car pulled out from gas station into path of my vehicle striking it in left rear quarter panel and left rear wheel. My truck spun to the left striking a semi truck totaled my truck heavy front end damage. Injury to my stepson who was the driver. Air bags never deployed nor did seat belts keep him in place allowing him to hit his head on the roof of the truck cab
