There is no excuse for a diesel engine with 136,000 miles to have any major failure or defect. Vehicle has done minimum towing over its life. Manufacturer rates vehicles tow capacity at 14,700 pounds, tows a boat at 13,500 pounds 4 miles each way on level ground. Chevrolet has stated it will not stand by their equipment. Between government ownership and lack of quality, guess my next truck will be a Ford.
