The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the contact attempted to accelerate but the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over and turn off the vehicle. The contact stated that once the vehicle had cooled down, the vehicle was restarted and operated normally. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The dealer was contacted and stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The dealer suggested that the failure might be related to the transmission. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not under recall and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 75,000. The VIN was not available.

The infotainment center seems to malfunction and push buttons on it's own or not respond to input, which seems related to a more serious problem I experienced where the gauge cluster was not reading anything out when I was driving, including not knowing what speed I was at or what gear I was in. I had to turn the vehicle off several times and restart it several times before the issue resolved.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently shifted out of gear. Additionally, the contact stated while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle lunged forward almost causing the vehicle to crash into the rear of another vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had persisted. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

I was driving down the road, the truck began to shake and bounce real bad. I took to the dealership we purchased the vehicle from and they said $3500 for a new front end to replace all the parts. This truck has never been wrecked or hit anything. This vehicle has 85000 miles on it and its supposed to be a diesel farm truck. It appears the front end was made with parts and material that is not in compliance with industry standards. I was told by the dealership mechanic that the front end could collapse going down the road and injure someone when it collapses. This is on the front end of the truck, the entire front suspension is inadequately equipped with components to maintain the structural integrity of the suspension system.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that the locking nut in the gear system was loose. The vehicle was taken to broadway Chevrolet (920-498-6666, located at 2700 S ashland ave, green bay, wi 54304) where the technician glued the part in lieu of replacement. The contact stated that the remedy should have consisted of more than just gluing; however, the failure did not recur. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact also stated that the black fuse box underneath the hood short circuited. The contact took the vehicle to the same dealer and was informed that he was fortunate that the vehicle did not catch on fire. The dealer informed the manufacturer and a team of specialists were sent to the dealer to repair the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

I am on a cross country trip and the vehicles engine light came on, I pulled into a Chevy dealer for service. Chevy dealer claims the part needed for repair called an ECM module, (I.e. computer) is not available and it is not being produced because of a defect in design. The vehicle has been with a Chevy dealer for 10 days. I am 1100 miles from home and General Motors has refused to give me a loaner to drive back to Kansas City. In talking with the diesel technicians at two of the dealers, they claim this is a widespread problem that GM is trying to hide.

I purchased a heavy large steel cabinet which was loaded onto my pickup truck. When I arrived at home, I was going to lift the cabinet off of my truck with a john deere loader. I parked my truck on my lawn. I then drove the loader up to the truck on the driver's side. I raised the bucket of the loader over the cabinet and connected it to the cabinet with a chain. I raised the bucket up until the cabinet was about 4 inches off the truck bed. I got off the loader and proceeded to drive my truck forward out from under the cabinet. I started to pull forward slowly when I noticed the back of the cabinet seem to tilt slightly downward. I was concerned the wheel on the cabinet would get caught between the space of the bed and the tailgate. I decided to get out of the truck and raise the bucket a few more inches higher. The engine was running and I put the truck in park ( the park dash light came on) and I got out. I walked toward the loader cab. When I was halfway there, the pickup truck rolled backward, hitting the cabinet which was suspended from the loader stopping the truck. That caused the cabinet to strike the back of the truck bed, pushing it into the cab, breaking the back window and denting the cab roof. There was over $9000 damage to the truck. I had a $2000 insurance deductible. I have found that when I move the gear shift lever between the " reverse " and " park" detents, there is a flat spot where the shift lever can stay and a light will indicate either "R" or "P" depending where it rests on that flat spot. This only happens between "park" and "reverse". when I got out of the truck the light indicated "park" but was on the flat spot and held in park until it slipped back to the reverse detent causing the accident. There should be no way that the gear shift lever should be able to rest between gears indicating it is in park.

While driving my truck in 6th gear at 65 mph, I approached a hill and I changed the gear selector to the manual position and to my surprise it went into 4th gear, racing the rpms up to 3500 and tried to slow the truck down quicker than I wanted. The bigger problem with this is slippery snow covered roads, your apt to lose control. When you down shift to manual it should remain in the gear your in, and you push a button at your descretion as needed to a lower gear. Took it back to the dealer and they said thats the way it is, but they were surprised it did that as well. I feel its not safe
